EAST SPENCER — The town of East Spencer and Grateful Heart Ministries will host the third annual Families in the Park on Saturday at Royal Giants Park.

The event, which will feature a free giveaway of household and other items, school supplies and food, will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the park, 200 Robinson Road.

“We aim to take a holistic approach toward families as they begin another school year. We want to engage and develop the whole person by addressing basic needs,” said Mayor Barbara Mallett.

Other churches and organizations will offer support. School supplies will be given away while they last.
