Back to school 2017: RSS supply list

The following are classroom supplies needed for each grade level. These basic supplies will assist each student in a successful start to the school year. Teachers may request additional supplies once the school year starts for special projects not to exceed $10.
Kindergarten through second grade: Pencils, one block eraser, one pack of crayons, three packs of loose-leaf paper, two glue sticks, one pencil box or pouch, a book bag, headphones, one composition notebook and one pocket folder.
Third through fifth grade: Pencils, three packs of loose-leaf paper, four composition notebooks, one pencil box or pouch, a book bag, ear buds and one pocket folder.
Sixth grade: Ten pencils, five blue or black pens, one pack of colored pencils, five packs of notebook paper, five packs of graph paper, one pair of ear buds and two glue sticks.
Seventh grade: Twenty-five pencils, 10 blue or black pens, one pack of colored pencils, five packs of notebook paper, one pair of ear buds and two glue sticks.
Eighth grade: Twenty-five pencils, 10 blue or black pens, one pack of colored pencils, five packs or notebook paper, one pair of ear buds and two glue sticks.
High school: Loose-leaf notebook paper, pencils, pens, a highlighter and a composition notebook.
Suggested purchases for high school: A folder, binder or notebook for organizational purposes. A calculator — please ask classroom teachers about calculators that are allowed and those that are not, TI-84 Plus is the standard graphing calculator used at school for math. Most high school math and science classes have calculator requirements. Schools have class sets available for student use at school.
The following donations for general classroom supplies are welcomed.
Elementary school: Facial tissues and sanitizer, notebook paper, dry erase markers, scissors, Wet Wipes and zip-top bags.
Middle school: Tissues, Purell hand sanitizer, notebook paper, graph paper, dry erase markers, colored markers, highlighters, glue sticks, composition books, binders and Post-It notes.
