Rowan weather: More clouds and showers

Our string of cloudy, damp days continues, with a 70 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms.

Expect showers this morning, and thunderstorms after 5 p.m. It will be cloudy and 80, with north wind around 6 mph. A tenth to a quarter inch of rain is possible.

Tonight’s chance of rain is 30 percent, with a low of 65 and mostly cloudy skies. Another tenth to quarter inch of rain is possible, except higher amounts in some thunderstorms.

Wednesday has a 30 percent chance of showers, mainly after 5 p.m. It will still be mostly cloudy, with a high of 80. Northwest wind will blow at 6-9 mph. The chance of showers drops to 20 percent Wednesday night, with mostly cloudy skies and a low of 66. East northeast wind around 5 mph will calm overnight.

Thursday begins with a slight chance of showers, then a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1 p.m. It will be mostly cloudy and 81, with northwest wind at 3-7 mph.

The chance of showers and thunderstorms goes up to 50 percent Thursday night, with a low of 68.

Friday also has a 50 percent chance of showers, with thunderstorms possible after 8 a.m. Once again, it will be cloudy, with a high of 83.

The chance of showers and thunderstorms goes up to 60 percent Friday night, with storms less likely after 2 a.m. It will be mostly cloudy and 68.

Saturday has a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 11 a.m. It will be partly sunny and warmer, with a high of 85. The same chance of rain is possible Saturday night, with a low of 69.

Sunday, too, has a 40 percent chance of showers and storms, and will be mostly cloudy and 86. The same chance of rain is expected Sunday night, with a low of 70.

And Monday will be more of the same, a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, with mostly cloudy skies and a high of 85.
