Rowan weather: Weekend should be OK

Today will be mostly sunny and 86, with scattered showers and thunderstorms after 5 p.m. Wind will be from the south southwest at 5-9 mph. The chance of rain is 30 percent, with less than a tenth of an inch expected.

Tonight has a 40 percent chance of showers and storms, mainly before midnight. Skies will be mostly cloudy, with a low of 68 and south southwest wind around 3-7 mph. Little accumulation is expected.

We get a little break from rain Saturday, which will start out mostly cloudy, then gradually clear. The high will be 85, with north wind at 3-7 mph. The low will be 65.

Then on Sunday, we’re back to the 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, with showers in the morning and thunderstorms in the afternoon. It will be partly sunny and 86. Winds will be from the east southeast around 6 mph.

Sunday night, the chance of rain increases to 40 percent, with a low of 69.

And on Monday, we’ll have a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, with mostly cloudy skies and a high of 84. The chance of storms and showers goes to 40 percent Monday night, with a low of 69.

Tuesday also has a 40 percent chance of showers, with thunderstorms possible after noon. It will be mostly cloudy and 84.

The same chance of rain continues Tuesday night, with a low of 66.

Wednesday, too, has a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, with mostly cloudy skies and a high of 83. The same chance of rain is possible Wednesday night, with mostly cloudy skies and a low of 67.

Thursday will have a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms and will be mostly cloudy with a high near 82.
