Rowan weather: Heat and humidity on the rise

It’s going to be mostly sunny today, and the humidity is creeping back up. We’ll have a high of 87 and a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms this afternoon. Some storms could be nasty, with frequent lightning and gusty winds.
The same chance of rain and storms holds through 10 p.m. Expect patchy fog after 3 a.m. The low will be 69, with south wind at 3-5 mph.
Tuesday will see fog before 9 a.m., then it will be mostly sunny and 92, with southwest wind at 5-7 mph. The low will be 72, quite warm. South southwest wind will blow around 6 mph.
Wednesday will probably be the hottest day of the week, with mostly sunny skies and a high of 94. Southwest wind will be at 3-5 mph.
We’ll have a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms Wednesday night. It will be partly cloudy and sticky, with a low of 73.

Thursday’s chance is 30 percent, starting as early as 8 a.m. It will be mostly sunny and 93. The same chance of rain continues Thursday night with a very warm low of 74.

Saturday has a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, with partly sunny skies and a high of 88. Saturday night also has a 40 percent chance of showers and storms, with a low of 70.
