Gibson ~ Petrea Engagement

Jim and Jill Gibson of Charlotte are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Rebecca Gibson, to Douglas Petrea.

Rebecca is the granddaughter of Richard and Elaine Schumacher of Winter Haven, Fla. and James and Donna Gibson of Largo, Fla. A 2012 graduate of Myers Park High School, Rebecca graduated from North Carolina State University in 2016 with cum laude honors and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Nuclear Engineering in 2016. She is an engineer at Duke Energy.

Douglas is the son of Joe and Tammy Petrea of Salisbury and the grandson of the late Maisy and Carl Lee Yost of Salisbury and the late Norman Petrea and Elsie Petrea Peterson. A 2011 graduate of West Rowan High School, Douglas graduated from North Carolina State University in 2016 with magna cum laude honors and received a degree in industrial engineering. He is employed as a Product Engineer at Legrand

The wedding is September 9, 2017 at Villa Franca Estate in China Grove.
