At a recent luncheon, the Rowan County Veteran Honor Guard presented Salisbury National Cemetery Maintenance Supervisor James Davis with a Humanitarian Service Award, along with Honor Guard members Chuck Quinn and Bill Anderson. The award was in recognition for their quick response to an emergency.
On March 6, 2017, while conducting a military funeral, one of our members collapsed and stopped breathing with no pulse, lips turned blue and eyes rolled back. Because of their rapid response in performing CPR, this man was brought back twice before EMT arrived.
