Greensboro man dead in Ellis Street incident; police identify suspect

SALISBURY — A Greensboro man is dead following a shooting that occurred late Saturday night.

Police are now asking for the community’s help to locate a suspect in the incident.

Timothy Lee Grady, 34, died in a shooting incident that occurred in an apartment on the 500 block of North Ellis Street, according to the Salisbury Police Department. Further details were not released about the events that led up to Grady’s death.

Now, police have obtained a murder warrant for Frankie Eugene Cox Jr., 31, according to a news release. The Salisbury Police Department said Cox lived at the apartment where the shooting occurred. In the news release, police asked the community for help locating Cox — described by police as being 6 foot, 2 inches and weighing 220 pounds.

In a news release, police said Cox and Grady knew each other.
