Rowan weather: More storms this afternoon

At the moment, we are under no watches or warnings, although thunderstorms are possible later today and may produce frequent lightning, small hail and gusty winds.

We have a 20 percent chance of showers this morning, then a 60 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms this afternoon. Clouds will increase throughout the day and we’ll have a high of 72. It will be windy, with west southwest wind at 6-14 mph, gusting up to 21 mph.

Tonight, the chance of showers is 30 percent, with mostly cloudy skies gradually clearing, and a low of 56. West southwest winds will be at 9 mph.

Friday will be sunny and 79, with west wind at 6-10 mph. Friday night will be mostly clear, with a low of 60.

For the weekend, it’s back to a chance of showers. Saturday will be mostly sunny and 86 with a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mostly in the afternoon. Wind will become southwest at 5-8 mph in the morning.

Saturday night also has a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, with a low of 66.

Sunday has a 50 percent chance of showers, then showers and thunderstorms mid-morning, with a high of 85 and mostly cloudy skies. The chance of rain Sunday night is 40 percent, with a low of 67.

Memorial Day has a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, too, with partly sunny skies and a high of 84. Same chance of rain Monday night, with mostly cloudy skies and a low of 64.

Tuesday will have a 30 percent chance of showers under partly sunny skies. The high will be 82. The low will be 62.

Wednesday will be mostly sunny with a high of 82.
