Rowan weather: Code orange air quality alert today

We’re under an air quality alert today, with ground level ozone at a higher level from 10 this morning until 8 tonight. It is a code orange day for ozone and code yellow for particle pollution.
The ozone may approach or exceed unhealthy standards. Children, active adults and those with heart or respiratory disease, such as asthma, should limit outdoor activities.
It will be sunny with a high of 86 and little wind today, with a clear night and a low of 53. South winds will be at 3-5 mph.
Wednesday is expected to be a code yellow air quality day for both ozone and particle pollution. It will be sunny and 88, with southwest wind at 5-10 mph.
The low will be 64 with south wind at 5-7 mph and partly cloudy skies.
Thursday will be mostly sunny and 86, and will be another code yellow air day. South southwest winds will be at 6-9 mph. The low will be 65, with partly cloudy skies.
Friday brings a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mostly after 1 p.m. It will be mostly sunny and 87. The 30 percent chance of rain continues Friday night, with a low of 65.
Saturday, too, has a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1 p.m. It will be mostly sunny and 83. With the same chance of rain Saturday night, the low will be 65.
Sunday, the chance of showers and storms goes up to 40 percent, with mostly cloudy skies and a high of 82. The same chance of rain continues Sunday night, with a low of 66.
And Monday will also have a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. It will be partly sunny and 82.
