The Multicultural Festival will be held in the picnic area of Rufty-Holmes Senior Center at 1120 S. Martin Luther Ling, Jr. Avenue from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. The program will include song, spoken word and dance.

The Peace Pole dedication will take place a few hundred yards north at the MLK Jr. Dream Park, 910 S. Martin Luther King, Jr. Ave. The dedication will take place at 12 noon with a Circle of Prayer. There will be a procession from the Senior Center to the Dream Park for the dedication. There will be a shuttle available for people who may not be able to travel by foot to the site.

After the Circle of Prayer around the Peace Pole, everyone is invited to return to the Senior Center for free hotdogs and fellowship.

The event, designed to celebrate community diversity and the universal desire for peace, is free and open to all. Participants are encouraged to bring lawn chairs.
