Kelsey Scott Park will be the site of a Juneteenth Celebration this year.

Juneteenth marks the abolition of slavery.

The celebration will be from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. June 17 at Kelsey Scott Park, 1920 Old Wilkesboro Road in Salisbury.

This year’s celebration will include speakers, live music, dancing, refreshments and vendors.

Among the scheduled speakers are Pastor Anthony Smith and Herbert Chambers.
