Lifeguard Classes
Must be age 15 prior to the first day of class. Certification includes lifeguarding, CPR-PR, AED and First Aid.

Swim lessons
For ages 6 months and up with several levels and class times available. Visit www.rowanymca.org to see schedule. Classes meet every day, Monday-Thursday for two weeks during the summer.
Each session consists of eight classes.

*Free swim lessons are an additional benefit to family and household memberships, therefore we require 75 percent attendance per session. Failure will result in being charged with the member rate for the next session. Classes may be combined to maximize space and instructor ratios.

Day camps
Camp is geared to engage kids in healthy physical activity and fostering positive social interactions.
The program offers the highest quality instruction and supervision, provided by trained and qualified staff members.
Each week of camp offers a different experience for your child. Breakfast and lunch will be provided; campers should pack a snack every day. Financial assistance is available.
Camp hours: 7 a.m.-6 p.m.
Program hours: 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
Registration: $25 (one-time fee)
Cost: $100 week members / $140 week others
Part-time (two days a week): $55 week members /$80 week others

$60 week members / $85 week others
*$10 off registration fee and weekly rates for additional children in the same family, registered for full time camp.
• Camp Explorer: Rising first-fifth grades
• Adventure Camp: Rising sixth-eighth grades

Specialty camps
Life Skills Camp
Helping children/teens develop resiliency. Resiliency is all about how well you can adapt to changes and challenges. Topics covered will be car maintenance, interview skills, CPR, cooking skills and more.

Tennis Camp
Enhancing skills through repetition, ball feeding drills and live ball situations. Each camper receives drill work, game and match play in a fun environment.

Boys Basketball Shooting Clinic
Sharpen shooting, ball handling, foot work and endurance. Jason Causby will be assisting with this clinic.

Soccer Camp
Improve skills, work hard, have fun. A co-ed camp of all abilities. Chad Torralba will be assisting with this clinic.

Swim Camp
Fine tune your swim stroke, turns, dives, technique, rotary breathing, propulsion and build endurance. Must be able to swim 25-yard freestyle and backstroke. Correct technique in all four competitive swimming strokes will be included.
Goggles are required and a mini-swim meet will be held on the last day of each camp with awards.

Wildlife Camp
Introducing youth to lifelong skills important to different types of outdoor recreational opportunities in a safe, controlled, hands-on environment, providing campers with the necessary skills and knowledge to become better sportsman/woman, while instilling an awareness of firearm safety and wildlife stewardship.
Hands-on activities are: archery, firearm safety, basic shooting skills (rifle and shotgun), fishing and orienteering. Campers will also receive their Hunter Safety Certification from the N.C. Wildlife Commission.

Volleyball Camp
For girls with beginner to intermediate skill levels. Skills training and technique of passing, setting, attacking, serving and defense. Emphasis placed on developing court movement and ball control. Drills, games and competition play.
