Blotter: Attempted break-in at Sweet Meadow Cafe

SALISBURY — Sweet Meadow Cafe reported that someone tried to force his way into the downtown restaurant between Monday afternoon and Tuesday morning. The cafe is at 111 N. Main St.

In other Salisbury Police Department reports:

• Salisbury High School reported vandalism Tuesday at 500 Lincolnton Road.

• A man reported a larceny Tuesday in the 1000 block of Freeland Drive.

• A man reported the theft of medication Tuesday at Villas at Hope Crest, 1314 Lincolnton Road.

In Rowan County Sheriff’s Office reports:

• A woman reported a burglary Monday in the 200 block of Honeysuckle Lane.

• A man reported a break-in Monday at his property in the 400 block of Neel Road.

• Jamarcrius Sharrod Little, 25, was charged Monday with misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance Schedule VI in the 500 block of Windward Lane, Landis.

• James Issac Lynn, 18, was charged Monday with misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance Schedule VI in the 7600 block of Interstate 85 South.

• Chandler Christian Sloan, 18, was charged Monday with felony obtaining property by false pretenses in the 7600 block of Interstate 85 South.

• Benjamin James Alan Elam, 19, was charged Monday with misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance Schedule VI in the 100 block of North Salisbury Avenue, Granite Quarry.

• Randall Lee Poole, 37, was charged Monday with misdemeanor allowing a vicious animal to run at large in the 100 block of Redbird Lane, Rockwell.

• Timothy Darnell Blackwell, 39, was charged Monday with misdemeanor communicating threats while at the Rowan County Magistrate’s Office.

• Roy Lee Hartford, 51, was charged Monday with felony possession of meth while at the Rowan County Courthouse.
