Trinity Oaks offers free caregiving conference

SALISBURY – Trinity Oaks is hosting its second annual caregiving conference, Keys to Caregiving, from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at 728 Klumac Road.
Sponsored by Trinity Senior Services of Rowan (Trinity Oaks, Trinity at Home and Trinity Living Center) and the Family Caregiver Support Program, the conference is free. Lunch will be provided, and free adult day care is available. Both professional and family caregivers are welcome.
The featured speaker will be Melanie Bunn, who was trained by nationally known dementia expert Teepa Snow. A panel of experts will include Sarah Maloney from Centralina Area Agency on Aging; Kelly Allen, an elder law attorney; Dr. Samantha Suffren, a psychiatrist with Novant Health; Edwina Ritchie with Rowan Hospice and Palliative Care; and Steve Drinkard of Trinity Oaks health and rehabilitation.
Vendors will be on hand with information on resources for caregivers.
