Seamon 50th Anniversary

Ronald Seamon and Brenda Seamon (née Smith) of China Grove celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary March 25, 2017. The couple celebrated with a special dinner with family and enjoyed family photos and a replica of their original wedding cake.

The Seamons were united in marriage March 25, 1967,  at Thyatira Presbyterian Church in Millbridge, by the Rev. George Calhoun. Ronald, the son of Margaret and James Seamon of China Grove, worked as a brick mason for Cannon Mills and then in general construction until his retirement. Brenda, the daughter of Cora Belle and Ralph Smith of Millbridge, is a retired librarian. She worked in the Medical Library at the VA Hospital in Salisbury.

The couple have two children, a daughter, Rhonda Seamon Jones and husband Alan, and a son, Todd Seamon and wife Lisa, all of China Grove. They also have four grandchildren, Ryan Jones, Jared Seamon, Tyler Seamon and Coralie Jones.
