Powles Staton Funeral Home host for Veterans Appreciation Day April 25

ROCKWELL — Powles Staton Funeral Home will be host for another Veterans Appreciation Day from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. April 25, a Tuesday, at 913 W. Main St.

Military veterans are welcome to enjoy a free lunch and register for door prizes. Powles Staton held a similar event last year.

As always, the funeral home encourages those attending to bring any worn American flags they want to dispose of as part of the funeral home’s “Retire Your Flag With Honor” program, in which the flags are used as part of dignified cremations of military veterans.

The funeral home also will be accepting new and unwrapped toys April 25 for its Operation Toy Soldier program, which supports military families.

Call Powles Staton Funeral Home at 704-279-7241 for more information.
