Rowan weather: Warm, chance of showers and storms

You know how North Carolina weather can change in an instant, so you shouldn’t be surprised that showers and thunderstorms have crept into what had been a calm weekend forecast.
Today will be mostly cloudy, then clear, with a high of 78. Winds will be from the south southwest at 5 mph this afternoon.
Tonight, we have a 20 percent chance of thunderstorms and showers, mostly before 10 p.m. The main threat is frequent lightning. The low will be 56, with south wind at 3-5 mph.
Saturday has a 20 percent chance of showers after 3 p.m. Patchy fog may linger in the morning until 8 a.m. It will be partly sunny and 80, with south southwest winds of 5-9 mph.
Saturday night will be partly cloudy and 58, with south southwest wind around 8 mph.
Easter Sunday will be mostly sunny with a high of 81. Winds will pick up from the southwest at 7-11 mph, with gusts up to 18 mph. The low will be 60.
The chance of showers and thunderstorms Monday has gone up to 40 percent. It will be partly sunny and 78. The chance of rain Monday night is now 50 percent, with showers and storms. The low will be 57.
We’ll have a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms again on Tuesday, with mostly cloudy skies and a high of 74. Again Tuesday night, the chance of storms and showers will be 50 percent, with a low of 58.
Wednesday also has a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. It will be mostly cloudy and 77. The evening should be calm, with a low of 59.
The heat rises for Thursday, with mostly sunny skies and a high of 83.
