In advance of a trip to Peru, the Rowan County Chamber of Commerce will have a hold an informational meeting on Tuesday.

The meeting will be at 4 p.m. in the Gateway Building — 204 E. Innes St. Representatives from Central Holidays will present information about the Peru trip, which will start Oct. 12 and end Oct. 20, and answer questions from interested community members.

The Rowan Chamber recently participated in an Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives trip to Peru, and are bringing the same experience to local residents. The trip is offered through Central Holidays. However, any Rowan Chamber member travel agent may book the trip for local participants.

The trip will offer participants an opportunity to interact with the Peruvian people. The itinerary will include a cultural exchange, education, a professional tour director and local guide on all tours.

The trip includes an air and land package from Charlotte to Lima, Peru, for nine days and eight nights. The early bird price is $3,449 per person, which includes hotels, meals, day trips and airfare. The early bird price expires on April 29. Non-members and out of area participants are welcome to attend at the rate of $3,889 per person.
