South Piedmont Conference golf is very competitive this season, and East Rowan needed a 3-under 32 from UNC Greensboro signee Nick Lyerly just to tie Concord at 147 in Tuesday’s nine-hole match.
Northwest Cabarrus hosted the match at The Club at Irish Creek.

East’s other leaders were Bryson Sprinkle (37) and William Garland (38). Will Peeler and Austin Miller shot 40s. The best four scores count toward the team score.
