Rowan deputies make several drug arrests

Deputies with the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office arrested a pair of men on multiple drug charges over the weekend.

William Eric Bruney, 45, was charged with possession with the intent to manufacture a Schedule I controlled substance and maintaining a dwelling or vehicle for a controlled substance.

Bruney also is charged with possession of Schedule II, III and IV controlled substances and simple possession of Schedule III. His bond was set at $5,000 early Sunday morning.

Cory Dustin Holleman, 29, was charged with breaking open a coin-operated machine, two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia and three counts of possession of Schedule IV controlled substances.

He was placed in the Rowan County Detention Center early Sunday morning under $5,000 bond.

In another report, the Sheriff’s Office charged Tiffany Nicole Nance, 25, with misdemeanor child abuse, carrying a concealed weapon, possession of Schedule II, IV and V controlled substances, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving while impaired.

The charges came after Nance was stopped around 1 a.m. Sunday near the intersection of U.S. 70 and Barber Junction Road.

Her bond was set at $2,500.
