KANNAPOLIS — The city of Kannapolis will hold a public summit from 6 to 8 p.m. April 11.
The “Move Kannapolis Forward” summit will allow residents to give feedback on the town’s redevelopment, new neighborhoods, road improvements and economic development initiatives.
A news release said that city officials hope to use the summit to create a shared vision for the city.
“Move Kannapolis Forward is a community-driven process to update the city’s comprehensive plan and establish a renewed vision that will serve as a blueprint for our shared future,” the release said. “This process will establish the city’s broadest public policy document, setting forth long-range vision, goals and policies for transportation, housing, development, the environment, the economy and public services.”
The summit will be at Kannapolis City Hall, 401 Laureate Way.
The evening will include interactive sessions, and refreshments will be served. For more information, call the Kannapolis Planning Department at 704-920-4358.
