Shive Elementary
The following students were named Good Citizens at Shive Elementary:
Kindergarten: Mason Yost, Porter Thomas, Ricky Harris, Ethan Moore, Aubree Cress and Brody Earnhardt.
First grade: Jenny Pless, Kiagahan Swigert, Natalie Greene, Alex Smith, Bella Maultsby and Gabriel Elizondo.
Second grade: Aidan Wiles, Drew Goodman, Aidan Bare, Evie Cutshaw, Will Watts-Hofner, Patrick Sanchez, Kami Taylor and Braiden Coley.
Third grade: Camori Black, Jayden Ireland, Mackenzie Jenkins, Jake Lewis, Draelo Shumake, Jaelyn Earnhardt, Payten Stromberg and Elijah Coppock.

Sacred Heart Catholic School
The following students made the all A honor roll for Sacred Heart’s second trimester.

Eighth grade: Shelbee Bryant, Caroline Cardelle and Theresa Holland.
Catawba College’s assistant athletic trainer Brandon Auton was honored with the College and University Athletic Trainer of the Year Award during the N.C. Athletic Trainers’ Association’s 40th Spring Symposium and Awards Luncheon held March 18 and 19 at UNC Charlotte.
Auton, who joined Catawba in 2011, earned his bachelor of science degree in athletic training from Western Carolina University and his master of education degree in education administration from the University of Nebraska.
