School system’s Literacy Summit scheduled Friday

Rowan-Salisbury Schools will host a Literacy Summit Friday beginning at 8 a.m.

The event will discuss the importance of community engagement and literacy development in the Rowan County community. Special topics include the district’s current state in literacy framework implementation and the progress and initiatives that have been put in place for the past three years. There will also be time for community feedback and strategic planning. The summit’s goal is to discuss the next step for Rowan-Salisbury students and to work together to develop a plan for moving forward.
