Enjoy today, because the weather is in for a big change again.

Today will be sunny and 74, with south southwest wind at 6-11 mph this afternoon, gusting up to 20 mph.

A 20 percent chance of showers moves in after 1 a.m. The low will be 45, with southwest wind at 6-8 mph.

We’ll also have a 20 percent chance of rain before 11 on Friday morning. It will be mostly, but noticeably cooler, with a high of 63. Southwest wind will blow at 7-12 mph, shift to the northwest at 13-18 mph, and gust as high as 30 mph.

Friday night will be clear and freezing, with a low of 32. Northwest wind will continue at 5-9 mph.

Saturday will be partly sunny and much cooler again, with a high of 53. Then things get complicated. We’ll have a 70 percent chance of precipitation Saturday night thanks to a cold front and low pressure, with a chance of rain before 11 p.m, then a rain-snow mix for a while, changing over to all snow after midnight. The low will be 32 again.

The mountains could get significant accumulations, but it’s still not clear what the Piedmont will see.

Sunday has a 60 percent chance of snow in the morning. It will be mostly cloudy and 42. The low will be a frigid 26.

Monday’s high will be just 46, with partly sunny skies, and the low will be 34.

We might make it to 50 degrees Tuesday, with partly sunny skies. The low will be another very cold 26 degrees.

Wednesday will be sunny, with a high of 47.
