STATESVILLE — Kickoff for the 13th annual Thumb Pickers Convention starts at 6 p.m. Friday, March 3 with a Meet-and-Greet at Twisted Oaks American Bar & Grill in Statesville. Admission $20.

Then on Saturday, March 4:

• 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Open mic and workshops, $15;

• 7 p.m. Saturday: Concert at Mac Gray Auditorium, Statesville, $25, featuring from Nashville: Loren and Mark, Richard Smith and Julie Adams, Wayne Henderson and Friends, Jeremiah Jobe, Clay Lunsford and Matthew Weaver and Friends. The Saturday Night Jam at Twisted Oaks follows the show. Tickets packages are available for all events.
