Rowan weather: Rain chance on the rise

Clouds and rain move in tonight and will stick around through Friday, with thunderstorms possible Saturday.

Today will be partly sunny with a high of 66 and south southeast wind at 5-7 mph.

Tonight, we’ll see a 50 percent chance of showers, mainly after 9 p.m. The patchy fog will form around 4 a.m. It will be mostly cloudy with a low of 50. Less than a tenth of an inch of rain is expected.

Showers are likely Wednesday, too, mainly before 10 a.m. It will be cloudy, with a high of 63. The chance of rain is 60 percent, with a tenth to a quarter inch of rain possible.

Wednesday night has a 30 percent chance of showers, mainly before 1 a.m. It will be cloudy, with a low of 52.

The chance of rain for Thursday is 30 percent, with showers and thunderstorms after noon. It will be mostly cloudy and 71. Calm wind will become south southwest around 6 mph. Thursday night, the chance of rain drops to 20 percent, with a low of 53.

Friday will be partly sunny with a high of 76, but then a 30 percent chance of showers moves in Friday night after 9. The low will be 58 with mostly cloudy skies.

Saturday has a chance of thunderstorms before 3 p.m., then a chance of showers. It will be partly sunny, with a high of 73 and a 30 percent chance of rain. Saturday night will be partly cloudy and cold, with a low of 36.

Sunday will be sunny and near 60 degrees. The low will be another cold one, 38.
