SALISBURY – Downtown Salisbury Inc. has named Becky Bradham as interim executive director.

Bradham replaces Paula Bohland, who will leave her position Jan. 31 to become executive director of GRACES, a nonprofit organization that provides assistance to children living in poverty in Latin America.

Bohland and Bradham will work together until Jan. 31 to facilitate a successful transition.

“I am so pleased to have Becky enthusiastically step in as interim director of DSI,” said DSI board Chairman Greg Shields. “Having worked with our organization previously and being able to start before Paula’s departure, Becky will have our organization in good hands as we begin our search for a permanent director.”

Bradham thanked the board members for the opportunity “and for their confidence in our team’s ability to continue its work here in Salisbury.”

“I also want to thank community members and staff for continuing to be such committed advocates for our future — your passion and belief in our continued mission to promote, enhance and manage the development of our central business district,” Bradham said.

Bradham has been with Downtown Salisbury since October. She has assumed increasing responsibilities and managed projects, factors the board cited in appointing her as interim executive director.

Before joining DSI, Bradham worked in both the public and private sectors as a business owner, professional consultant and human resources manager. She brings over 20 years of recruiting, management and business development experience managing partnerships with private companies, nonprofit groups and entrepreneurial ventures.

DSI will soon begin the search for a permanent executive director. More information about that process will be available online at downtownsalisburync.com.
