Rowan weather: Springlike today

The warmer temperatures will bring some patchy fog this morning, but it should roll out by 10. It will be partly sunny today with a high of 68, with light and variable wind. The 7:30 temperature is 54 degrees, a far cry from the 7 degrees on Monday.

Tonight, we’ll have a 50 percent chance of showers, mainly after 9 p.m., followed by patchy fog. The low will be 41 with northeast wind at 6-9 mph. Less than a tenth of an inch of rain is expected.

Saturday, the chance of rain is 30 percent, with showers in the morning. It will be cloudy and cool again, with a high of 46. Northeast wind of 5-7 mph will calm in the afternoon. The low won’t be far from the high, 42 degrees.

Sunday has a 20 percent chance of rain after 9 a.m. It will be mostly cloudy, with a high of 58 and northeast wind around 5 mph in the afternoon. The chance of rain goes up to 30 percent Sunday night. It will be mostly cloudy with a low of 43.

Martin Luther King Jr. Day will be mostly cloudy with a high of 52. The low will be 46.

Tuesday will be mostly cloudy, too, with a high of 60. And the low will be 50, with more clouds.

Wednesday brings a 30 percent chance of showers, mostly cloudy skies and a high of 63. The chance of showers and thunderstorms — yes, thunderstorms in January — goes up to 40 percent Wednesday night, with a low of 52.

Thursday’s chance of showers and thunderstorms is 50 percent, with mostly cloudy skies and a high of 62.
