The Rowan County Sheriff’s Office reported the arrest Friday of a Salisbury woman charged with three counts of crimes against nature, felony secret peeping with a recording device and possessing photographic images from secret peeping.

Charged is Wendy Arlene Kasper, 36, who is accused of having engaged in sexual acts with as dog on numerous occasions and secretly videoing a child in a bathroom for the purpose of sexual gratification.

“This investigation indicated that Kasper was involved in child pornography dissemination with 33-year-old Joshua Douglas Martorelli,” a Sheriff’s Office press release said Saturday.

“Martorelli is also from Salisbury, and is possibly involved in a larger child pornography group that is still under investigation. This information is being shared with other jurisdictions to include the N.C. SBI.”

Kasper was placed in the Rowan County Detention Center under $25,000 secured bond.

Meanwhile, Sheriff’s Office detectives have obtained arrest warrants for Martorelli on the felony charges of possessing photographic images from secret peeping and two counts of third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor.

Detectives are still attempting to locate Martorelli, who was last seen in the Old Concord Road area of Salisbury.

Anyone with information on the location of Martorelli is being asked to contact Lt. C.A. Moose at 704-216-8687 or Detective C.J. Gordy at 704-216-8710.

If you fear retribution and want to remain anonymous and possibly collect a reward of up to $1,000, information can be submitted via the internet to http://tips.salisburyrowancrimestoppers.org/, or by calling the Salisbury-Rowan Crime Stoppers at 1-866-639-5245.

In December 2016, the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigative Division joined with the Rowan County Department of Social Services in an investigation involving the possible sexual exploitation of a child.

During the course of the investigation, Rowan County Sheriff’s investigators determined Kasper and Martorelli had, among other things, possessed and traded pornographic images of a child.
