Annual Chamber Gala sold out for fourth year in a row

SALISBURY – The Rowan County Chamber of Commerce’s 91st Annual Gala is sold out.

The gala is Thursday at 6 p.m. at Livingstone College Hospitality Center, 530 Jake Alexander Blvd.

Novant Health Rowan Medical Center is the title sponsor.

“We are pleased to have 300 business and community leaders attending the annual gala,” said gala chairwoman Cindy Hart of Great American Publishing Co. “It’s the fourth year in a row that we’ve had a sold-out event. We’ll have to look for an even larger location next year.”

The theme of this year’s gala is “Originals Working Together.”

The gala is presented in cooperation with the Rowan County Convention & Visitors Bureau and RowanWORKS Economic Development. New Rowan Brand videos featuring the “Be an Original” theme will highlight the program.

Ted Goins of Lutheran Services Carolinas, the 2016 chamber chairman, will be succeeded by 2017 Chairman Tim Norris of Healthcare Management Consultants.

Now Are the Foxes will emcee and provide entertainment. Awards to be presented include the Paul E. Fisher Chamber Volunteer of the Year, Chamber Champion Small Business of the Year and Duke Energy Citizenship & Service Award.

The gala will include a reception and catered meal. The dress code is business professional or semi-formal. To be placed on a waiting list for tickets, contact the chamber at 704-633-4221 or info@rowanchamber.com or visit www.rowanchamber.com.
