Rowan weather: Freezing fog this morning

Lots of frost overnight, some of it due to freezing fog, will slow you down some this morning. We may see freezing fog into the morning. And we’re starting out at 20 degrees.

If we’re lucky, the forecasters will be right today, when it should be sunny with a high of 54. Winds will be light. Tonight will be mostly clear, with a low around 34. Light south wind.

Thursday will be a little warmer, with a high of 58 under mostly sunny skies. Winds from the west will blow around 6 mph in the afternoon. Another mostly clear night will allow temperatures to drop to 28 degrees.

Friday will be mostly sunny and 50, with a light northwest wind, so your last-minute shopping will be OK. The low Friday will be 35 and we’ll have a 30 percent chance of rain.

Saturday, Christmas Eve, will have a 40 percent chance of rain and be mostly cloudy with a high of 50. If you’ll be out for a candlelight service, the low will be 38.

Christmas day dawns partly sunny with a high of 56, and the low will be just 43.

Monday will be mostly cloudy, with a high of 59. The low will be 48.

Another 30 percent chance of rain moves in Tuesday, but with partly sunny skies and a high near 64.
