The disappointing presidential election

My disappointment with this election was its limited focus on issues that mattered to all Americans. More was made of e-mails, lapses of morality, and a manifestation of little concern for the least of us. The growing wealth inequality, manufacturing’s decline, crumbling infrastructure, a vanishing middle class and black men dying at the hands of law enforcement, among other problems were topics inadequately addressed by either candidate. One candidate failed to realize the improving economy bypassed too many citizens, especially those in rural and post-industrial white America.

ABC investigative reporter Stephen Long put our rage into perspective. He said, “While President Obama was advocating hope, Trump channeled anger. The anger of those who’ve lost hope as they’ve come to see that John F. Kennedy’s famous promise that ‘a rising tide lifts all boats’ no longer holds. Now the rising tide only seems to lift boat owners.”

The campaign exposed festering flaws in our national character. It was like pulling a scab off of a wound. The president-elect’s campaign incited dark emotions held by those whose bitterness was channeled into an ugliness that blurred the real issues. There is a wave of hate attacks against minorities and women by those who feel emboldened. There are anti-Trump protests in many cities. According to its website, the North Carolina KKK scheduled a Trump victory rally.

Anger is not a program. It doesn’t provide equitable non-zero sum solutions to nagging problems. Under its power, stupidity and selfishness guides decisions with longterm bitter consequences. Rage induces blindness to answers hidden in plain sight and deafens the unheard screams for help from those suffering from economic, social and political injustice. Let’s all take a deep breath, pray for our nation, respect and listen to one another and find ways we can all share in America’s bounty.

Thank God for Trump

The election is over, but seems the crybaby sore losers who are demonstrating looting and rioting have only begun. Was this the case when Obama won?

Some elite celebs are talking of moving to Canada. Why Canada? Why not Mexico, seeing as they think all of Mexico has a right to move here, even illegally. Balance the immigration out. The way many Mexicans ignore our laws it would be perfect keeping with the liberal mind set. For instance, Warren Beatty’s new movie is titled “Rules Don’t Apply.” Seems quite apt for his lifestyle and his liberal anarchists. They worship freedom only for themselves.

Speaking of worship, a recent letter was critical of Christians for supporting Trump. Were they supposed to love the homosexual, the lawless dope dealing, drug using, lying, stealing murdering low lifes? I could go on but they see nothing wrong with these types.

In my opinion these evil wicked people finally angered God to where he turned his back on them and propelled Trump to the presidency. Consider what he overcame. All of the liberals the entire entertainment community and industry, remember who performed for her and how her rallies were like rock concerts and Woodstock?

Many moderates, including Republicans, refuted Trump. The moguls and stars were for Hillary, Wall Street was for her, the big millionaires and billionaires were for her. All of the establishment backed her.

So who supported Trump? The all mighty Lord God Jehovah; it was his holy hand and will that made him the victor. How else do you explain it? No one saw it coming or could explain it. None of the pundits, pollsters, political know-it-alls, reporters anchors or hosts. None have had the courage to say what I just did! Thank God that he saved our nation again.
