Published 8:01 am Tuesday, November 15, 2016

We are under a dense fog alert until 9 a.m. today, as well as an air quality alert all day.

Due to fires burning in the mountains, fine particles are floating in the air, leading to a code orange day. The air may reach or exceed unhealthy standards. Children, active adults and those with heart or respiratory conditions should limit outdoor activity.

Wednesday and Thursday are expected to be code yellow days, moderate air quality.

The fog may linger as late as 10 a.m. today, then it will become sunny, with a high of 64.

Tonight, expect areas of smoke after 3 a.m. The low will be 37.

The smoke will continue to affect the area Wednesday until 8 a.m. or so, then it will be sunny, with a high of 67. Wind will become west at 6 mph. The low will be 37.

Thursday will be sunny and 68, with north wind around 6 mph. The low will be 38.

Friday will be the warmest day, with more sunshine and a high of 71. The low will be 43.

Saturday will be mostly sunny and 65, with a low of 35.

Sunday will be mostly sunny, but much cooler, with a high of 50. The low will dip below freezing, to 29 degrees.
