Fear for the future and questions about past
No one is perfect. Trump needs etiquette lessons and Hillary needs to come out of the fog, stop spouting rhetoric and phrases she thinks we are stupid enough to believe.
Trump is pretty much a loose cannon, but I agree with most of his ideas, especially on illegal immigrants. If more than 11 million Americans relocated to Mexico and points south, Mexico would cry, “Invasion!” and start a military response. Maybe we should do that.
To the gentleman who scoffed at my claims about vehicles for ISIS and money for hostage releases and a nuclear program, he evidently believes the internet shows nothing but truth. He needed to watch C-SPAN on Sept. 10 and listen to a subcommittee grilling politicos about $2.5 billion to Iran, mostly with pallets of cash loaded on a plane.
We do not pay ransom for hostages, but we have done so time and time again. Paying cash to any country promoting terrorism is against the law. We have given cash to Iran for hostages, arms and nuclear programs.
Muslims are not our friends or allies. We need to seal our border and circle the wagons; we are under attack, however you look at it.
As for the 15th anniversary of Sept. 11, 2001, pull up photos of the Pentagon after the attack. Show me any plane wreckage, wings, fuselage, landing gear or engines. As M.C. Hammer said, “You can’t touch this.”
I may not be the brightest bulb, but I still have neurons, atoms and anything else bouncing around the cerebral highways in my mind..
You will need four precious metals to survive in the future: gold, silver and any combination of lead and copper. You will need variants of each to protect your family.
Seven blasts from Gabriel’s horn starts the apocalypse. Are you ready?

Miller knows schools
I would like to encourage those who want to see real improvement in our schools to vote for Gene Miller for Rowan-Salisbury school board.
I worked with Gene when he was an associate superintendent for the Winston-Salem Forsyth School System and when he was an associate superintendent for the Rowan-Salisbury Schools. I also know him as a friend.
I can say without hesitation that Gene understands how schools should work. He is dedicated to the task and has the organizational skills to make the right things happen. Gene knows how to ask the hard questions. He will not accept excuses. He will fight for our children and do his best to provide a quality education for all Rowan-Salisbury students.
A vote for Gene is a vote for our children.

Democrats are smug
Michelle is attacking Trump on the gender/sex issue. Remember her glaring rage looks at Barack over his selfie and flirting with the blonde Danish prime minister? If looks could kill, Biden would be president.
Speaking of Biden, what of his prolonged holding, touching and groping of numerous women even the liberal press took issue with? He gave new meaning to the term “vice president.”
Not much is said of Democrats advancing homosexuals and shielding sex criminals and child molesters.
Democrats are also smug, self-righteous and overly proud. Josh Stein’s ad ends, “We are better than that.” Really? Obama says, “It’s not who we are.” Hillary proclaims, “Trump is not fit to be president.”
Demeaning women? Hillary speaks of Bill’s ex-mistresses as gold diggers, “loony tunes” and unbelievable. Is this “respecting one another”?
Speaking of big banks she said, “Every day I work to shut them down.” Perhaps she meant her speaking fees, starting at $250,000. Maybe this is why the FBI found it hard to speak to her on the 33,000 vanished emails? She couldn’t decide what her “speaking fee” should be.
Hillary wants to arm Syrian rebels yet change U.S. gun laws. She wants to bring Syrians to the United States. For what — to destroy this nation like they did theirs? Small wonder she failed the D.C. bar exam.
Are you better off than eight years ago? Obama and Hillary’s one success is Obamacare, which even Bill Clinton called the “craziest thing in the world,” adding costs have doubled and benefits cut in half.
Hillary speaks of “fighting for children.” What of the 15 burned alive at Waco by the Clinton FBI/ATF?

Trim Mahaley trees?
We go back and forth on Mahaley Avenue on our way to school each day and have noticed several big trees that are leaning over the road, as well as several very large branches reaching almost over both sides of the road.
When we may have a snow storm, ice storm or hurricane hit, these trees are going to fall on the road, taking a lot of power lines and telephone lines with them. Since Mahaley is a direct road to the hospital, this could make it harder for anyone to get to the hospital if we did have a bad storm.
May be a good idea to take a look at these and try to cut them back from hanging over Mahaley Avenue.
