‘Aluminum Overcast’ B-17 returns to Rowan County Airport

The Experimental Aircraft Association’s “Aluminum Overcast” B-17 Flying Fortress is scheduled to land at the Rowan County Airport on Oct. 26 around midday , weather permitting. The plane will be on display through Oct. 31.

Purchased flights will be available from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Oct. 28-30. Some seats will be reserved for veterans. Ground tours will be offered from 2-5 p.m., with veterans getting free tours.

Revenue from the B-17 tour helps cover maintenance and operation costs for Aluminum Overcast.
