David Childers to Perform at Rowan Public Library

SALISBURY, N.C. – Enjoy a free concert featuring David Childers on Tuesday, Sept. 27. The event, part of the Friends of the Rowan Public Library and Cheerwine Concert Series, will be held in the Stanback Auditorium at Rowan Public Library Headquarters, located at 201 W. Fisher St. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and the show begins at 7 p.m.

Childers’s music builds on his background in country, folk, and blues as he explores the tension between secular and religious impulses. According to Avett Brother bassist Bob Crawford, “Everywhere I go, people ask about [Childers]. It’s great to see people constantly discovering this man and his massive body of work.”
