Happy fall, y’all.

It looks like we might be easing out of the high temperatures that beat us down all summer long, but it won’t be anything like cool for a while.

A shower this morning was part of the 30 percent chance of scattered showers today. It will be mostly cloudy again, with a high near 80. Winds will come from the north northeast at 7-10 mph. Less than a tenth of an inch of rain is expected.

Tonight has just a 20 percent chance of showers, and will be mostly cloudy with a low of 65. Winds will be northeast at 6 mph.

Then Friday through Monday, there’s no mention of rain at all.

Friday will be partly sunny and 84, with north northeast wind around 7 mph. The low will be 62, with calm wind.

Saturday will be sunny and quite warm, with a high of 88. Winds will be light. The low will 64.

Sunday will be mostly sunny and 83, with a low of 60.

Monday drops down to 76 for a high, with a low of 60 again.

Then the old, familiar 30 percent chance of rain returns Tuesday, but skies will be partly sunny and we’ll see a high of 78. The same chance of rain hangs around for Tuesday night, with another low of 60.

Wednesday will be partly sunny and 80.
