SALISBURY — A Salisbury man was seriously injured Saturday following a single-vehicle crash on Goodman Lake Road, Highway Patrol officials said.

David Brady, 22, was traveling west on Goodman Lake Road, near Lakeside Drive, around 9:30 p.m. in his 1998 Jeep when he lost control in a curve, ran off the road to the right and hit some trees.

He was unconscious at the scene and suffered head trauma.

Brady was taken to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center by Rowan EMS.

Trooper K.G. Barringer said in a report that upon arrival, Brady was still pinned in the vehicle and once they got him out he was determined to be intoxicated.

Barringer charged Brady with driving while impaired and reckless driving.
