Chance to give feedback on widening of Julian Road

SALISBURY — The N.C. Department of Transportation invites the public to attend an informational meeting this week on the proposed widening of Julian Road from Jake Alexander Boulevard to I-85 in Salisbury. The purpose of the project is to improve safety and reduce congestion.

The open house meeting will be held Thursday, Sept. 8, at the Rowan County Rescue Squad Station 91, 1140 Julian Road, from 4 to 6 p.m. Interested citizens can attend at any time during those hours to speak with project engineers, ask questions and submit comments. The opportunity to submit written comments will be provided at the meeting or it can be done by mail no later than Sept. 30.
