Seven arrested Saturday, Sunday for DWI charges

SALISBURY — Across Rowan County, a total of seven people were arrested over the weekend for drinking and driving charges.

The arrests occurred in various locations around the county and involved multiple law enforcement departments, with the NC Highway Patrol making most of the arrests.

Those arrested on driving while impaired charges from Friday evening to Sunday morning include:

• Brandi Hawkins Black, a 32-year-old resident of China Grove.

Black was arrested by the North Carolina Highway patrol. She had a blood alcohol content level of 0.17, according to arrest documents.

• Frankie Eugene Bumgarner, a 62-year old resident of China Grove.

Bumgarner was arrested by China Grove Police. He had a blood alcohol content level of 0.08, according to arrest documents.

• Jeremy Lindell Freeman, an 32-year-old resident of Linwood.

Freeman was arrested by the North Carolina Highway Patrol. He had a blood alcohol content level of 0.18, according to arrest documents.

• Dadrian Tyquan Cowan, a 25-year-old resident of Salisbury.

Cowan was arrested by the North Carolina Highway Patrol. He had a blood alcohol content level of 0.15, according to arrest documents.

• Frederic Anthony Harris, a 31-year-old resident of Spencer.

Harris was arrested by Spencer Police. He refused a breathalyzer and was given a blood test, according to arrest documents.

• Armando Felix Devas, a resident of Salisbury.

Devas was arrested by the North Carolina Highway Patrol. He was given a blood test.

• Jonnie Michael Armstrong Jr., a 25-year-old resident of Chapel Hill.

Armstrong was arrested by the North Carolina Highway Patrol. He had a blood alcohol content level of 0.17, according to arrest documents.
