Where are places that lack internet access?

To those still supporting Fibrant, let me suggest you read the Constitution, precisely Amendment X. “The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the states, are reserved to the states respectively, or to the people.”

There is nothing in state law suggesting that the people should not have access to the latest and most advanced state-of-the art broadband, only that cities are limited to the limits of the city when offering this service to the people. State law prohibits cities and municipalities from expanding beyond city limits.

Just where are all these small communities without internet service? It would seem to me satellite service is available everywhere unless of course you live under a mountain. Also, having to run cable for miles and miles to these alleged isolated communities would be prohibitive — that is, unless you have tax payers foot the bill.

Having written about Fibrant recently to the Post in which the editors conveniently left out the following observation: The start-up fund borrowed $33 million and according to the Post provided 25 new jobs for Salisbury. It does not take much arithmetic to realize these new jobs only cost $1,320,000. That is one million three hundred twenty thousand, each!

No angel vs. devilish

Mike Pence endorses Paul Ryan during a separate campaign stop while Donald Trump continues his name-calling campaign stating, “We’ve never been more united … we’re very united.” Oh, yeah! If anyone believes this presidential “con-didate,” then you deserve what you get.

I’m not too keen on Hillary Clinton, but she far and away makes more sense than Donald Trump, the man without a plan other than the wall that I predict will never be built.

We need a president who will talk straight to voters and unite us, not a loudmouth, braggadocious, divisive, trigger-happy TV celebrity who, I fear, will run this great nation into the ground should he win. Hillary’s no angel, but Donald Trump’s campaign style is nothing short of devilish.
