Rowan Chamber’s Total Resource Olympics Campaign kicks off tonight

SALISBURY – The Rowan County Chamber of Commerce will kick off its 2016 Total Resource “Olympics” Campaign on Monday Aug. 15, 5 – 7 p.m. in conjunction with the “Business After Hours” mixer at Morgan Ridge Railwalk Brewery & Eatery (421 N. Lee St.). The mixer will be co-sponsored by Walser Technology Group.

The theme of the campaign is “Chamber Champions – Go for the Gold!” Team captains will be dressed in Olympic-style costumes and challenge each other in mini-athletic competitions during the event. The Total Resource Campaign is sponsored by Cloninger Ford & Wal-Mart.

Tim “Titan” Norris (Healthcare Management Consultants), chair-elect and campaign chair, has selected a great group of Team Captains: Wendy Barnhardt (“Navigator” Rowan-Cabarrus Commu­nity College); Sherry Boyd (“Team USA Eagles” Carolinas HealthCare System NorthEast); Gary Blabon (“Apollo” Novant Health Rowan Medical Center ); Teresa Dakins (Trinity at Home “Toga’s”); Nicole Holmes Matangira (“Medals” Matangira Recycling); and, Wendy Roueche (“Team Rio” F & M Bank).
