Liberty UMC welcomes new praise and worship leader

GOLD HILL — Liberty United Methodist Church welcomes Mike Lambert as the congregation’s new praise and worship leader. Mike and his wife Gaynell are known throughout Rowan County for their unique Praisegrass music.

Pastor Charles Curtis says, “We are excited to welcome Mike and Gaynell to the Liberty Family. Mike and Gaynell has played and sung at many special events for us.  Also, they have and will continue to be leading the music at our connectional church, Providence United Methodist, for their early service.”

Mike stated “my primary role in this new position is to lead praise and worship during the 11   a.m. worship service.” Mike will be leading the Liberty Men’s Choir and other soloists who performs on special occasions.

Mike and Gaynell will be formally introduced to the congregation Sunday during worship at 11   a.m. The church is located at 3940 Liberty Road.
