Rowan weather: Rain likely today, tonight, Thursday

We might finally get some rain today, with a 60 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms throughout the day and a 70 percent chance tonight.
The rain could be heavy enough at times to lead to flash flooding, and a few storms could bring strong winds and frequent lightning.
The heat wave is also taking a break, with today’s high of 82 under cloudy skies. Northwest wind will blow at 5-8 mph. Fog is possible through 10 a.m. today.
Showers and a possible thunderstorm tonight, with a low of 70 and east northeast wind at 6 mph.
We could get to an inch or two of rain thanks to the moisture-laden air.
Thursday has a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, with more fog in the morning. It will be cloudy again, with a high of 82. East wind at 7 mph. The same chance of rain is possible Thursday night, with a low of 70.
Friday has just a 40 percent chance of showers and storms, and will be mostly cloudy and 85. The chance of rain drops to 20 percent Friday night, with a low of 70.
Saturday, we’re back in the 90s, with a high of 92 under mostly sunny skies. A 30 percent chance of afternoon showers and storms is possible. That chance lingers into Saturday night, with a low of 71.
Sunday will be mostly sunny and 90, with no mention of rain. Sunday night’s low will be 69.
Monday will be partly sunny and 88 with a low of 69.
The usual summertime 30 percent chance of showers returns Tuesday, with a high of 86 under partly sunny skies.
