EAST SPENCER — The town hopes to expand its police force to include four-legged officers through a proposed K-9 program. The town police department does not currently have one, but on the agenda for a Monday meeting, the board will discuss setting up a K-9 funds account.

The meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. in council chambers, 105 S. Long St.

The board will also:

• Discuss the demolition list for property on Long Street.

• Discuss the status of the Community Development Block Grant for infrastructure. There are certain regulations that have to be in place during the planning including the town has to have a written scope of work to be provided for each service to be awarded as well as the town has to check references for any firms awarded contracts.

• Place three police cars to be sold as surplus — a 2005 Chevrolet Tahoe and two Ford Crown Victorias, one a 2003 model and the other a 2004.
