UPDATE 11 a.m. Tuesday: According to Sheriff Kevin Auten, Dock Corpening has been found safe in Jones County.

 

SALISBURY — Authorities have issued a Silver Alert for a missing 81-year-old Salisbury man.

Dock Harrison Corpening, of White Rock Avenue, was last seen around 8 a.m. today driving a burgundy 2000 Toyota Tundra pickup with N.C. license plate number NSV 6163.

In the alert issued this afternoon, Corpening is described as African-American, 6-foot-1 and 180 pounds with brown eyes. He is balding.

Corpening is believed to be suffering from dementia or some other cognitive impairment.

Authorities ask anyone with information about Corpening to call Deputy Schmellzer at the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office, 704-216-8500.
