Rowan weather: Few clouds, lots of heat

Today is going to be much like yesterday, sunny and hot with just a small chance or rain.

The high will be 93 under mostly sunny skies and winds will be calm until the afternoon, when a breeze from the southwest will bring more warm air. Chance of rain is 20 percent.

Tonight chance of rain is also 20 percent, with partly cloudy skies and a low of 71.

Friday has a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon and will be slightly less hot, with a high of 90. Partly sunny skies will be accompanied by a light west southwest wind. The chance of rain goes up to 60 percent Friday night, with a low of 70. A quarter to half inch of rain is possible.

Saturday’s chance of storms and showers is also 60 percent, with mostly cloudy skies and a high of 88. Rain is likely again Saturday night, with storms tapering off around 7 p.m. The low will be 70.

Sunday will be 88 again, with partly sunny skies. The chance of showers and thunderstorms is 50 percent. That chance drops to 40 percent Sunday night, with a low of 70.

Then it’s back to the 90s for Monday, with mostly sunny skies and a high of 91. A 30 percent chance of showers and storms is expected. Monday night has the same chance of rain, mostly in the early hours of Tuesday, with a low of 72.

Tuesday has a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms and a high of 91 under party sunny skies. The same chance or rain continues Tuesday night, with a low of 70.

And Wednesday has a 40 percent chance of storms and showers, with mostly sunny skies and a high of 90.
