PORTSMOUTH, Va. — Concord High School graduate Walker Cress is tied for 34th place at the Eastern Amateur Championship, after a even-par 70 for Saturday’s third round at Elizabeth Manor Golf and Country Club.

Cress is also even for the tournament, posting a 68 and 72 in his other rounds.
Pfeiffer’s Zach Weaver shot a 2-under par 68 yesterday and is tied with a group at 1-over, 37th place.
The tournament, which concludes today, is led by East Carolina rising senior Jackson Spires at 10-under par. Spires has had rounds of 67-66-67. He leads Virginia Tech’s Joey Lane by one stroke.
Lenoir-Rhyne’s David Donovan IV is 1-under par for the tournament, after shooting a 72 on Saturday. He is tied for 23rd.
