SALISBURY — The bands Big Break and Dark Water Rising will be performing at this year’s Summer Sip.

The Downtown Salisbury, Inc. sponsored event starts on August 5 with the third annual craft beer tasting crawl in downtown Salisbury. It continues on August 6 with the second annual craft beer festival that will include local brews as well as brews from across North Carolina.

Big Break and Dark Water Rising will be performing on August 6.

Big Break is a rock band based in North Carolina that incorporates surf, ska, funk, alternative, roots, reggae and jam rock into their music, according to the band’s Facebook page. They will be performing at 3:30 p.m.

Dark Water Rising, performing at 5 p.m., has a “rocky soul” style that ties back to issues affecting today’s Native American communities, according to the band’s website.
